We accept walk-ins where possible but we are a small studio so it's always a good idea to book by telephone or email
Due to the size of the studio we may not be able to accommodate large prams, please call us to check before arrival
Arrive at the studio...
Find the studio on Hatter Street, opposite Abbeygate Cinema.
You will have a 2 hour time slot so please arrive on time.
Choose your pottery...
We have a large selection of pottery to choose from, whether you want to paint a practical item such as a mug or plate, or an ornament to display
Our pottery is individually priced starting at £16.50
All painters pay a £4.00 studio fee which covers studio time up to 2 hours, paints, glazing and firing
Introduction...
To begin, we'll ask you to wash your hands with soap before touching any pottery - oils can stop the glaze from sticking. We'll then give your pottery a dust, and talk you through the basics of using glazes, and make sure you have all the equipment you need.
It can be a good idea to have a think and find some inspiration photographs before your session, but it's not essential. Please do let us know what you want to achieve and we're happy to offer advice, or there's plenty of inspiration in our shop too
We're always happy to answer your questions and guide you as much or as little as you need
Get painting!
Some people like to take inspiration from our painted samples here in the studio.
We can talk you through techniques and how best to achieve your vision, or we are happy to leave you to it if you're confident in the process
Enjoy a coffee and snack...
Hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks are available whilst you paint
We kindly ask that you do not bring your own to the studio
Leave it with us
At the end of your visit, leave your masterpieces with us and we will take care of the rest.
Glazing and firing takes up to two weeks - it's worth the wait!
Collect your finished piece
We will be in touch when your pottery is ready to collect
